Tenant Walk-in Clinic

KCLC is pleased to announce creation of a new pilot project to help tenants. Effective immediately, tenants will have direct access to a lawyer:

Thursdays between:

  • 9:30 am to 11:30 am, and
  • 1:30 pm to 3:30 pm

Lawyers will now handle both eviction matters and disrepair concerns during this walk-in clinic. Tenants who are suffering as a result of flooding, mould, and other maintenance problems can speak briefly with a lawyer. The lawyer may immediately send a demand letter to the landlord for repair and/or arrange a Property Standards inspection.

On Thursdays, tenants who are facing eviction can also get direct access to a lawyer. Using the Tenant Walk-In Clinic enables faster response to eviction and other tenant issues.

It is important that you bring all relevant documents with you.

Tenants who cannot attend on Thursdays can also use the Legal Clinic’s regular intake process by calling 613-541-0777.

ODSP Walk-in Clinic

We have a walk-in clinic for people who have been disability benefits under the Ontario Disability Support Program. This clinic takes place on Tuesdays from 9:30 a.m. to 11:30 a.m. and 1:30 p.m. to 3:30 p.m.

It is important that you bring all relevant documents with you.

If you are unable to come to the walk in clinic, you may call Kim Lonsdale at 613-541-0777, Extension 24.
