Vision
We envision a future in which individuals and communities are informed and empowered, by having a well-resourced, integrated, accessible and accountable justice and community service system.
Mission
Kingston Community Legal Clinic promotes justice, equality, rights and independence for low-income people by:
- providing legal services in matters relating to poverty, housing, income support, human rights, health, employment and education,
- pursuing law reform activities,
- providing community legal education, and,
- engaging in community development.
Values
Everyone who approaches the KCLC for legal help has the right to be treated with dignity and competence.
KCLC will reach out to those who do not come to us for help but who may be victims of injustice.
We will try to promote justice by influencing the laws, policies and programs that affect disadvantaged people.
KCLC promotes a working environment that is healthy, supportive, respectful and fair. Enjoying what we are doing enables us to serve others more effectively.
