Kimberly Hurt is a licensed paralegal. Kimberly joined the Legal Clinic in 1998 as front-line staff. She has been a paralegal since 2008 specializing in social assistance law, including representing clients at the Social Benefits Tribunal. Besides representing clients, Kimberly provides legal education to the public, government agencies and health care professionals. Kimberly is a past member of the City of Kingston’s Poverty Reduction Initiative Steering Committee for Social Services, the Provincial Inter-Clinic Steering Committee on Social Assistance and Big Brothers Big Sisters Kingston. Currently, Kimberly is a Board Member for the Income Security and Advocacy Centre and Community Living Kingston and District.
